DOCX packages Word content as XML in a ZIP archive. This viewer extracts the main document body into a simple, read-only HTML preview. It is useful for reading text and tables when exact page layout is unnecessary.

How to use the DOCX Viewer

Choose a .docx file, then read the preview in the restricted document frame. Headings, paragraphs, bold text and basic tables are supported. External links are inert text and remote resources are never fetched. Download original keeps the unchanged file.

What the DOCX Viewer supports

Read main-body paragraphs, headings, bold text and basic tables in a sanitized, sandboxed HTML frame. No editing or Word installation required.

File limits and compatibility

50 MiB input; 100 MiB archive expansion, 20 MiB per entry, 5,000 entries. No perfect Word page fidelity. Images, headers, footers, drawings, equations, macros and OLE are omitted or may degrade. No encrypted DOCX or legacy DOC.

Expanded content can reach browser limits before the input limit. If opening fails, try a smaller supported file. No cloud fallback is used. This viewer is free and requires no account.

DOCX Viewer FAQ

Will DOCX look exactly like Word?

No. This is a text and basic-table preview of the main document body. Complex layouts, pagination, headers, footers, images, drawings and equations are omitted or may degrade. Use Word or an exported PDF when exact fidelity matters.

Are DOCX links, macros or embedded objects executed?

No. External links are shown as inert text. Images, macros, OLE and other active content are not rendered or executed. The HTML is sanitized and displayed in a sandboxed frame with network access disabled.

Can I edit DOCX or open password-protected documents?

No editing or password decryption is provided. Choose an unencrypted .docx file up to 50 MiB. Archives have separate expansion limits, and browser memory may impose lower limits.
