PSD is the Photoshop document format. This viewer decodes the saved flattened composite rather than rebuilding the design from layers. A compatible saved composite is required; individual layers are not rendered or editable.
How to use the PSD Viewer
Choose a supported .psd file, inspect the composite, adjust zoom or rotate the view, then optionally export PNG or JPG. Keep Download original for the unchanged layered document. Save a compatible RGB composite in the source application if the file is rejected.
What the PSD Viewer supports
Preview the saved flattened composite; zoom, rotate and export PNG or JPG. No layer editing or layer rendering.
File limits and compatibility
50 MiB input; 24 megapixels; PSD v1, 8-bit RGB with 3 or 4 channels and raw/RLE compression only. No PSB, CMYK, Lab, indexed, 16/32-bit or ZIP compression. Embedded color profiles are ignored; color and transparency may differ.
Expanded content can reach browser limits before the input limit. If opening fails, try a smaller supported file. No cloud fallback is used. This viewer is free and requires no account.
PSD Viewer FAQ
Does PSD preview render individual layers?
No. It displays only the saved flattened composite. There is no editing or layer compositing. A file without a compatible saved composite is rejected.
Which PSD modes are supported?
PSD version 1, 8-bit RGB, 3 or 4 channels with raw or RLE composite compression. PSB, CMYK, Lab, indexed, 16/32-bit and ZIP-compressed composites are unsupported. The input cap is 50 MiB and the image cap is 24 megapixels.
Will colors and exported images match Photoshop?
Exact color and transparency fidelity is not guaranteed. Embedded color profiles are ignored. PNG and JPG exports use the displayed composite and omit original metadata; JPG uses a white background. Keep the original for authoritative layered content.
